Find the exam score you need
The calculator combines your current course grade with the final exam's percentage weight to find the score required for a desired overall grade. Enter percentages as numbers from 0 to 100.
Worked example
Suppose your current grade is 80%, the final is worth 30%, and you want 85% overall. Coursework contributes 80 × 0.70 = 56 points. You need 29 more points from the final, so the required exam score is 29 ÷ 0.30 = 96.67%.
Interpret impossible results carefully
A requirement above 100% means the target cannot normally be reached from the final alone. A result at or below zero means the target is already secured mathematically, although you may still need to sit the exam or meet a minimum-exam rule.
