HRA Exemption Formula

Minimum of (Actual HRA, Rent Paid - 10% Basic Salary, 50%/40% of Basic Salary)

HRA exemption is the lowest value among actual HRA received, rent paid minus 10% of salary, and 50% (metro) or 40% (non-metro) of basic salary.
